In order to ensure the success of our mission and the spread of good vibes in our communities, we put in a place a number of mechanisms to regulate the content in Jodel. Content in Jodel gets removed for a number of reasons:
Downvoting: If your post gets downvoted by the community (-5/-10 depending on the community), it will be blocked. Downvoted replies collapse. Visit our blog to learn more about the Collapsed Comments feature: https://jodel.com/blog/collapsedcomments/
Content against our Community Guidelines: Our users report content that violates our guidelines to our trusted moderators, who in turn give decisions based on our Community Guidelines. Then our algorithms review the overall decision and proceed to either block the content or allow it back to the feed: https://jodel.com/app/flagging/en/
We have a number of security mechanisms in place and a team of admins who can also directly remove posts against our guidelines and values.
Successive blocked Jodels will eventually lead to an account ban. When your account is banned, your posts will be no longer be visible to other users until you get unbanned. Please be aware that the third ban is a permanent one.
Once more, our security mechanisms and our team of admins are also in charge of blocking abusive accounts directly when necessary.
